About Zhang Hao
Zhang Hao (张豪)was born in Jiaozuo, Henan, the birthplace of Tai Chi in China. He began his martial arts journey at an early age, training in a wide range of disciplines, including broadsword, spear, staff, sword, long fist, Bajiquan, and Tongbeiquan. Before turning thirteen, he had already won multiple city- and provincial-level championships. In 2006, he joined the Guangdong Provincial Wushu Team to specialize in Tai Chi, where he successfully competed as a core team member, representing Guangdong Province in top-tier national and international competitions for over a decade, achieving both national and world championship titles.
In 2016, Zhang Hao was invited to serve as a coach for the Philippine National Wushu Team, where he led athletes in prestigious events such as the 9th Asian Wushu Championships and the 6th World Junior Wushu Championships, with his team members earning top-three placements. In 2018, he immigrated to the United States as a distinguished talent, committed to advancing Tai Chi in all aspects. During his time in the U.S., he was frequently invited to teach Tai Chi classes for students at the University of Maryland and George Mason University.
In 2019, Zhang Hao personally led his team to the 8th World Traditional Wushu Championships, where he won two gold medals and guided his six students to secure the group world championship title. While in the U.S., Zhang Hao not only claimed approximately 40 gold medals in various major martial arts competitions but also trained multiple Tai Chi world champions. Whether in professional competitions or diverse platforms, Zhang Hao has consistently promoted Tai Chi culture, striving to make its benefits accessible to everyone
